Bull brings in artificial intelligence expertise
Christian Bendiksen joined Bull as new partner on 1 October. Christian has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer – 10 of them related to various forms of artificial intelligence, working with contractual regulation of access to data and systems.
He also has extensive experience with international technology contracts. As an English solicitor and with a French master's degree, he has for several years assisted French and English technology companies as well as Norwegian companies that negotiate with them.
Christian has worked with various legal aspects of the use of artificial intelligence for many years already, and he knows the law as well as the technology very well.
"We are very happy that Christian is joining us. Christian has worked with various legal aspects of the use of artificial intelligence for many years already, and he knows the law as well as the technology very well. With Christian on board, we strengthen our position in this market significantly," says Bull CEO Tine Wærsten.
"We are very much looking forward to having Christian as a colleague as well. He matches our values perfectly, which is important to us in all our recruitment activities," she adds.
Promoting young talents
In addition to his professional competence, Christian is also a coveted leader. He arrives from Brækhus, where he has been a partner since 2013 and head of the technology department for the past 10 years. Christian has a strong focus on giving younger talents opportunities to learn and grow.
"He wants to include younger resources as early as possible in the various processes so that they can be up and running quickly in terms of insight and understanding. This is important to all of us and especially to our younger employees," says Lisa Digernes, head of the department for technology, intellectual property law and marketing.
Christian himself looks forward to contributing to the continued strengthening of Bull professionally and socially going forward.
"I have been keeping an eye on Bull for a while. I look forward to contributing within the technology area – specifically with the developments taking place in the use of artificial intelligence – but also within competition law. There are so many opportunities here to create important synergies with other specialty areas, which will benefit our clients greatly going forward. In addition, Bull’s culture gives it a unique position in the market," says Christian.
One of the country's best centres for technology expertise
Bull has experienced solid growth in scope and assignments in recent years. For example, we have brought in new partners with solid expertise in employment law, company law and transactions, litigation, real estate and sustainability. They all strengthen us further in the specialty areas we offer and in the work methods we excel at.
Christian becomes part of a team that consists of lawyers with particularly strong technology expertise. The partners in Bull's technology group are ranked and recommended by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and Who is Who Legal. Besides, they and the team’s associates regularly present courses on technology and privacy to fellow lawyers from all over the country.
"With Christian on the team, we can offer our clients even better access to some of the country's absolute best expertise within the technology field. And they can be their strategic sparring partners for the best possible results in the long run," Tine concludes.
