Kjersti Cecilie Jensen

Kjersti Cecilie Jensen primarily assists in matters regarding real estate law. In addition, she works with environmental law and renewable energy. Kjersti assists both public and private clients, and she is therefore able to evaluate the issues from several angles – and to find the best solutions. Kjersti assists with issues related to planning and building case processing, land acquisition necessary to carry out infrastructure and real estate projects, land consolidation, neighbour law, registration, co-ownership, defects, lease agreements, etc. In recent years, she has worked extensively with wind power (licensing process and terms), including issues related to environmental impact assessments.

Kjersti has worked as a strategic and legal adviser since 2007. She also has experience from the courts, which is a strength during negotiations, dispute resolution, and the discretionary process.

One of her strongest areas of expertise relates to the building of roads, water/sewer pipelines, and stormwater systems for real estate development projects. Within this specialty, Kjersti is one of the few lawyers in Norway who can assist with reimbursement cases, and she has contributed to legislative developments in this area. She offers courses and lectures on the same topic and has published several articles and worked on the commentary edition of the Planning and Building Act (the building case section).

Kjersti has a strong commitment to her profession and legal policy and has been head of the Legal Policy Association. Through various assignments, she has contributed to Storting resolutions and legislative changes, and she is regularly in contact with local and state politicians. She is currently working on the commentary edition of the Fences Act. She has also been a mentor and external examiner at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo.
