Kjersti Cecilie Jensen

Kjersti Cecilie Jensen is a specialist in real estate law, with extensive experience advising both public and private clients. Her work spans a wide range of matters, including planning and building permit processes, the purchase and acquisition of land for infrastructure and real estate projects, land consolidation proceedings, neighbour law, registration, co-ownership, defects and lease matters. She also has extensive court experience, which is a strength in negotiations, dispute resolution and judicial appraisal proceedings.

One of Kjersti’s areas of expertise is the legal framework governing the construction of roads, water and sewerage facilities, as well as stormwater systems, in connection with property development. In this field, she is one of the few lawyers in Norway who provides assistance in reimbursement cases, and she has contributed to the development of case law. She regularly holds courses and gives presentations on these topics, has published articles, and has contributed to the annotated edition of the Planning and Building Act (the building permit section).

Kjersti also works with environmental and energy law, including matters relating to environmental impact assessments, licensing processes and grid connection.

She has a strong professional and legal policy engagement and has, among other roles, served as Chair of the Norwegian Association for Legal Policy. Through various assignments, she has contributed to parliamentary resolutions and legislative amendments, and she maintains regular contact with politicians both locally and nationally. She has also served as a supervisor and examiner at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo.
