André M. Carlsen is the head of Bull's Private Law Group, specializing in family law, inheritance law, dispute resolution, and litigation.

André has over 15 years of experience as an inheritance lawyer and divorce lawyer. He has specialist expertise in financial settlements upon separation and divorce (division of marital property, questions about separate property, unequal division, and settlements between cohabitants), as well as with inheritance disputes (reverting values to the estate due to invalid death dispositions, invalid wills, interpretation of wills, invalid dispositions in undivided estates, etc.).

André previously worked as a general practice lawyer and has extensive experience with family and inheritance law issues requiring interdisciplinary expertise in contract law, agreement law, real property law, administrative law, corporate law, international law, etc. He has particular competence in cases involving significant assets (family fortunes, corporations, and other business activities) at stake.

André has diverse experience from the courts as a lawyer, judicial associate, and researcher in the Legal Research Unit of the Supreme Court. He is an experienced negotiator and regularly litigates cases in court. André is committed to giving clients clear advice on what can be achieved by taking cases to court. He regularly takes on assignments to provide second opinions and assess the risk of litigation for parties in disputes considering court action, appeals, etc.

Over the years, André has assisted a significant number of families with advice and implementation of generational transitions and the protection of family fortunes, including the creation of marital agreements, wills, cohabitation agreements, and powers of attorney for the future.

André is also a child rights lawyer, with over 15 years of experience and specialist expertise in cases under the Child Welfare Act (parental responsibility, permanent residence, and visitation). He emphasizes giving clients in child welfare cases clear advice on how to deal with the typical issues that arise in such cases.
