Ole Martin specializes in privacy law and related technology law. He previously worked as a senior legal advisor at the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, where he also focused on artificial intelligence.

His work includes legal and strategic advice in IT projects, procurements, and whistleblowing cases, as well as assistance to public authorities, non-profit organizations, and stakeholders in the sports and entertainment industries. He also advises on related areas of law such as artificial intelligence, marketing law, digital security legislation, e-commerce, and telecommunications. He has particular experience with cases at the intersection of privacy and employment law. Ole also assists clients in dealings with the Data Protection Authority and the Privacy Appeals Board, and has experience litigating the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) before the courts.

Since 2025, he has been a member of the Norwegian Bar Association's legislative committee for ICT and privacy law. He also serves as a deputy board member of the Association of Data Protection Officers. In 2024, he was recognized in the “Privacy” category of Finansavisen’s annual lawyer survey.

Ole Martin holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Oslo and an LL.M. in ICT Law from the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law (SERI). He regularly delivers lectures and publishes articles in legal journals.
