Main work areas

Rune primarily works with commercial law, with a particular emphasis on market and intellectual property law, contracts, competition law, public procurements, privacy and labour law.

He acts for a number of Norwegian and global companies on questions of intellectual property rights and market law as well as providing general legal advice. His client companies include familiar brand names such as Puma and Timberland, as well as a number of pharmaceutical companies. He has broad experience in pursuing counterfeit products.

He has acted for clients in competition law cases in both Norway and at EEA level. He has also advised a number of public authorities and local authorities on procurements.

Rune is an experienced litigator, with experience from the district courts, courts of appeal and the Supreme Court, especially within the areas of patents, trademarks, marketing, contracts and labour law.

He is also a popular lecturer in his fields of expertise.
