Jenny Sveen Hovda’s areas of specialization include intellectual property rights, marketing law, data protection law and e-commerce. She heads both the IT, privacy and intellectual property team and the Technology and Media, entertainment and culture teams.

Jenny advises large producers of consumer goods on copyright and design protection, and has broad experience in developing and executing strategies in anti-counterfeiting. Industry focuses are furniture, lifestyle, food and media.

She advises on compliance with consumer and advertising regulations in a broad range of media, on packaging and in labeling. Practice includes e-commerce regulations, product placements and sponsorships. Experienced in advising on misleading and unfair commercial practices. This includes bringing complaints and defending cases before regulators, and appeals of regulators decisions.

Jenny manages portfolios and gives strategic advice on trade marks, design and domain names for national and global clients.

In its 2019 and 2020 editions, the ranking agency The Legal 500 recommends practice head Jenny within Intellectual property and describes her as a “consumer goods specialist”.
